I have had issues with this same store three times now. Each time the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. First time I contacted an employee to help me see if there was a pitcular bathtub faucet I was looking for. They assured me that they were sure the first employee would be back shortly. Another employee notified me that the original employee looking for my faucet had went home due to it being the end of his shift a half hour ago. This employee said he would be with me shortly, I left.

We provide tools, appliances, outdoor furniture, building materials to Hanover, PA residents. I do love working for The Home Depot, because I just think it’s a wonderful place to work. I love the bonding, co-workers, and most of all I like the advancement that the company has. The hours, the time we come in, the time we get off. I still have time to do things in the afternoon and in today’s economy, you want to have a job you know is going to be there.

The kind of problems I solve are anything mundane from how to fix a sink. Sometimes it’s crazier stuff like hey my kid needs to build a T-REX out of pvc. And the things you learn on the job are things that can directly help you. Needless to say,they have lost my business directly in the middle of a full remodle of my house. I'll go to lowes where im greated upon coming in the store. Asked if I need assistance and where employees are eager to help me find what I've come in for. If the local hanover,pa lowes doesn't have what I need in stock I'll gladly take the trip to the lowes in Westminster,M.D. Before going in Hanover home depot again. Some of the benefits that part time employees have here would be of course the ability to purchase, at a discount, Home Depot stock.

Oh what makes me good at my job is that I’m a people person. I just generally enjoy being around folks.

So upon calling the operator directed my call to appliances five times. No answer the sixth time I called back in the operator said she would see what the hold up was. I was placed on hold then directed yet again to appliances.
I needed something that was going to go around my schedule out of the building. I was able to come in and work in the morning, which is usually about six o’clock to maybe twelve o’clock. And then I went to school and then came back and closed the store, like from five to ten pm. And there is always an available store, if I was to move state to state in a transfer.
They are not getting ready to go out of business. I’ve been in other industries and I would never leave Home Depot, because I love the working environment. I love my fellow peers and my management team. They’re wonderful people to work with. Your focus is making sure the products have a label, they’re clean, they’re stocked, just that everything looks, what they call, grand opening ready. So the work that we do here at night is basically we unload trucks.
